Family-friendly all-inclusive near Puerto Morelos inspired by the natural cenotes and jungle of the region.
Dreams Natura, in Puerto Morelos, takes its design from the cenotes and jungle of the region: dark stone walls, still water features and dense tropical planting, with the beach on the other side. It is about 10 miles from Cancun airport and has a dozen wedding spaces for roughly 60 to 300 guests.
The wedding I have published here used both of its palettes. The first look and the portraits were in the gardens, between the stone walls and the water. The ceremony was on a wooden deck by the sea, under a tall pointed arch of woven wood. The reception stayed by the water, under string lights.
Where to say “I do” — and how each spot photographs
Beach
The largest option, listed for about 200 to 400 guests depending on the setup. Expect bright reflective sand and stronger wind earlier in the afternoon.
Deck and woven arch
A wooden deck at the edge of the beach with a tall pointed arch of woven wood. Our ceremony here was under it, and the reception stayed on the deck under string lights.
Stone walls and water gardens
Dark stone walls, still ponds and dense tropical planting, inspired by the cenotes inland. This is where I did the first look, the portraits and the wedding-party photos, in open shade.
Wedding Gazebo
An outdoor gazebo listed for about 80 to 100 guests. It gives the ceremony structure and greenery while staying open-air.
Garden Art
A green open-air space for a cocktail hour or reception. Foliage and a nature-forward background instead of sand.
Blue Water Rooftop
An elevated open-air venue for a reception of about 80 to 100 guests. Wind and direct sun matter more here than in the sheltered gardens.
Suite Peony Terrace
The terrace of the Peony Suite, for a small ceremony or cocktail hour of about 60 to 100 guests. Access may depend on booking the suite.
Infinity Pool and Spa Cave
Two unusual settings: a ceremony by the infinity pool, or a cocktail hour in the Spa Cave, built to feel like a cenote.

Ranges, not quotes: each source publishes a slightly different 2026 rate, and the season changes the price. Extra guests are charged per person, and some venues carry their own fee. Several packages include short photo coverage by the resort’s own team; if you bring your own photographer, ask how that changes the package. Confirm everything with the resort’s wedding team, in writing, for your date.

Recommended. The stone walls and water gardens give a first look shade and privacy, and doing it early lets us use the gardens properly rather than squeezing them in.
Logistics worth knowing
Dreams Natura is on the Puerto Morelos corridor, about 10 miles from Cancun International Airport. The resort has around a dozen wedding spaces across the beach, gardens, rooftop, pools and terraces, so confirm the exact sequence of spaces before building the photography timeline, and leave a few minutes between them.
Vendor rules at Dreams Natura Resort & Spa
- Outside photographers: Accepted
- Outside vendors are accepted. In late 2025 a couple planning here was told the resort charges per person for outside vendors, though they never got a confirmed amount, so treat that only as a hint of how the charge is structured. Confirm the current photographer charge, pass type and registration process with the wedding coordinator.
- These rules belong to the resort, not to me. The resort sets the fee, charges it and changes it, often from one season to the next and sometimes from one wedding to the next, so I do not publish an amount here: any number you find online is already out of date for your date. Ask your wedding coordinator at the resort to confirm it in writing, and ask early: it is a real line in the budget. It is also worth asking whether there is any flexibility. Some venues waive or reduce the fee, often when the vendor team books rooms for a few nights or when the wedding is booked through certain agencies, and plenty of couples never find out because they never ask.

The light here
For an outdoor ceremony, build the timeline around late-afternoon light rather than midday. For a spring wedding here, Kristina usually recommends a ceremony between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m.: it leaves the ceremony in kind light and still protects a real portrait window afterwards. For portraits, preserve the final 45 to 60 minutes before sunset. The beach faces the Caribbean, so sunset itself falls inland rather than into the ocean horizon.
