Los Cabos Wedding Photographer

Dramatic desert landscapes meeting the Sea of Cortez in unmistakable style.

Los Cabos is a different photographic world from the Caribbean. The tourist corridor runs between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, where the desert meets the Sea of Cortez. There are rock formations and dry golden light. And one fact changes the whole timeline here: the sun sets over the water, not behind the land. On the Riviera Maya the sea goes flat and quiet at dusk. In Cabo we photograph straight into the sunset. Couples who have seen both often prefer this light.

Garza Blanca Los Cabos is the venue I have photographed here. It is a modern resort on the corridor. The beach is for the ceremony, the Orange Tree for cocktails and smaller dinners, and the rooftop has broad ocean views. Because the end of the day is the spectacle, I usually suggest a first look earlier. Family groups and portraits are handled before the ceremony, and the whole sunset window belongs to the couple.

A wedding here is a trip for the studio rather than a drive, and travel is part of how we plan it together. If Los Cabos is where it is happening, send me the date and the resort. We will start there.
