The beach faces the Caribbean to the east, so the sun sets inland, behind the resort. Protect the final 45 to 60 minutes before sunset for couple portraits. Sunset runs from about 6:10 to 6:30 p.m. in winter to about 7:30 p.m. in summer, so a 4:00 p.m. ceremony in July leaves a comfortable portrait window.
