Stone Gazebo
A structured ceremony location just off the beach with garden and Caribbean views. It is an official Finest wedding location. A current specialist venue listing says a venue fee is required, and couples often plan a 5:00 p.m. ceremony here.
Beach
Direct Caribbean ceremony option currently listed for approximately 120 guests for ceremony, cocktails or reception. It is fully exposed to wind, bright sand and resort activity.
Grand Palapa
Covered beachfront reception space with ocean and garden views. Current specialist information lists approximately 120 guests for cocktails or reception.
Las Dunas Beach House
Smaller beachside lounge currently listed around 80 for cocktails and 50 for reception. It works better for a more intimate dinner than a large ballroom-style event.
Sky Bar Terrace
Elevated ocean-view terrace currently listed around 60 for cocktails and 80 for reception. The higher perspective gives more separation from the busy ground-level resort background.

Logistics worth knowing
Finest Playa Mujeres sits inside the double-gated Playa Mujeres community north of Cancun. Finest's own current travel material varies on airport timing: the FAQ says approximately 45 minutes, an official travel article says about 40 minutes, and the meetings page says 25 minutes. For wedding-day planning, allow roughly 40 to 45 minutes from CUN rather than building a schedule around the shortest published estimate. Multiple outdoor venues, rooftop areas and indoor spaces mean portrait transitions should be planned rather than improvised.
Vendor rules at Finest Playa Mujeres

- Outside photographers are accepted. Kristina has photographed several weddings at Finest Playa Mujeres. The resort does not publish its outside vendor fee, so confirm the amount and the access procedure in writing with your wedding coordinator.
- These rules belong to the resort, not to me. The resort sets the fee, charges it and changes it, often from one season to the next and sometimes from one wedding to the next, so I do not publish an amount here: any number you find online is already out of date for your date. Ask your wedding coordinator at the resort to confirm it in writing, and ask early: it is a real line in the budget. It is also worth asking whether there is any flexibility. Some venues waive or reduce the fee, often when the vendor team books rooms for a few nights or when the wedding is booked through certain agencies, and plenty of couples never find out because they never ask.

The light here
Finest Playa Mujeres is on the Caribbean side, so the ocean is the sunrise direction and sunset falls inland. Protect the final 45 to 60 minutes before sunset for portraits. Cancun sunsets are roughly 6:17-6:35 p.m. through January and about 7:25-7:33 p.m. in June. For a 5:00 p.m. winter Stone Gazebo ceremony, decide before the wedding whether the main couple portraits happen before the ceremony or immediately afterward.
