Real weddings in Akumal

These are the weddings I have photographed in Akumal, south of Playa del Carmen. Each one opens to its full gallery.

Akumal means "place of the turtles", and the bay is the reason. It is a protected curve of calm water, one of the gentlest beaches I photograph on this coast.

Both weddings here were at Secrets Akumal, an adults-only resort. One was a classic beach ceremony on the bay. The other was at its Arch Plaza, an open-air ceremony spot with real architectural character.
