Nomade Hotel Tulum
Bohemian beachfront hotel in Tulum built around ritual and gathering spaces — tents, fire pits and a wide beach for free-spirited weddings.
Nomade is built around ritual. Where most hotels offer a gazebo, Nomade offers a ceremony circle, macramé installations, fire pits and a beach set up for gathering rather than for spectacle. Couples who choose it are usually after something ceremonial and barefoot rather than formal — and that intention shows in the photographs.
We have photographed here more than once, and the texture is what makes the gallery: raw linen, woven rope, driftwood, candle smoke at dusk. It rewards a documentary approach far more than a posed one.
Where to say “I do” — and how each spot photographs
Beach
Nômade's current private-events page calls the sandy beach backed by Tulum jungle a place to celebrate. It is the safest public-facing wedding ceremony environment to describe, with open wind, bright sand and strong midday contrast to plan around.
Macondo
An intimate, Moroccan-influenced space with low seating and a warm, textural interior. It can give a very different editorial look from the beach, but the current public page does not publish wedding capacity or guarantee that every wedding can use it privately.
La Popular
Nômade's open-air beachfront restaurant. It keeps the ocean immediately present while adding structure, tables and shade, making it useful for dinner/cocktail context when included in the event plan.
Gratitude Tent
A sacred, barefoot gathering space designed for wellness activities and meetings. Its fabric, filtered light and ceremonial atmosphere can be visually distinctive, but do not label it a wedding ceremony site unless the coordinator assigns it that way for the specific event.
Yoga Shala
An open-air sanctuary with a calm jungle character. Treat it as a possible event/portrait environment, not an automatic ceremony site; exact wedding use and capacity require coordinator approval.

Logistics worth knowing
Nômade is at Carr. Tulum-Boca Paila Km 10.5 in the southern Tulum beach zone. Current official pages disagree on CUN transfer time: one says about 90 minutes, while the FAQ says 130 km and about 2 hours. Treat traffic as variable and build a generous arrival buffer. Guest parking/visitor minimums published on the FAQ must not be used as vendor parking rules; confirm the wedding team's entrance, load-in and parking instructions separately.
Vendor rules at Nomade Hotel Tulum
- Nômade confirms that it hosts weddings and custom private events, but the current public material reviewed does not publish the outside wedding photographer fee, credential or vendor entrance procedure. Public outside-visitor restaurant/beach-club minimums and parking conditions are guest/customer rules, not vendor access. Confirm wedding-specific photographer approval directly with the Group & Weddings Coordinator.
- These rules belong to the hotel, not to me. The hotel sets the fee, charges it and changes it, often from one season to the next and sometimes from one wedding to the next, so I do not publish an amount here: any number you find online is already out of date for your date. Ask your wedding coordinator at the hotel to confirm it in writing, and ask early: it is a real line in the budget. It is also worth asking whether there is any flexibility. Some venues waive or reduce the fee, often when the vendor team books rooms for a few nights or when the wedding is booked through certain agencies, and plenty of couples never find out because they never ask.

The light here
For beach portraits, protect the final 45 to 60 minutes before sunset and calculate the exact date. Nômade's Caribbean beach faces east, so sunrise is over the water and the physical sunset is inland. The beach can still become softer and warmer late in the day; use jungle, restaurant and covered spaces as midday alternatives.
